Kathie Jarra - JARRA / STYGMATA 

STYGMATA is a four piece, melodic, classic heavy metal band fronted by singer / guitarist / songwriter, Kathie Jarra, formerly JARRA (Lion Music) currently GETTY Music /Karma Records Group/Rapture Girl Metal Records.  

Formed and fronted by Kathie Jarra, JARRA was a highly successful East Coast classic metal band with a signature sound and a spiritual energy that successfully conquered New Jersey, New York & the great Northeast for years gathering a very strong following and tons of musical respect for their wall of sound melodic music and intense live performances.  Releasing several EPs while performing mainly in NYC, JARRA carved a metal niche for themselves with Radio Airplay in the USA and breaking musical ground in Europe garnering a huge and loyal following in Germany. With a killer full length CD completed the band then went on to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona where shortly after, they landed their deal with the Finnish heavy metal Label, Lion Music in 2000.  

Releasing their debut CD, Test of Faith worldwide under the Lion Music Label,  JARRA also recorded a Live CD in 2002 that included most of the debut CD and a few bonus tracks and was released as JARRA - Live from Phoenix under the KRG label and the ballad, Always, All Ways was chosen for another Lion Release, Dream Ballads.

JARRA toured non stop until the singer decided to move into a new direction with a new line up and new music. 

Completing her label deal with Lion Music in the mid 2000s Kathie Jarra went on to successfully form a new band, STYGMATA, a harder, more thrashier version of her former band. 

In 2014, Kathie Jarra began licensing her music through GETTY Music with thousands of music placements worldwide to date along with a plethora of other music publishers licensing her music into TV / Film / Games and Radio.  

The 2019 - 2021 line up now includes guitarist, Jack Frost (Savatage / Metallium / 7 Witches); Dennis Hayes (Beyond Fear / Iced Earth / 7 Witches) & Gary Wells (Pain Alive).  

Completing a 3 Song Video project for their new VEVO Channel, STYGMATAVEVO, from 2019 and current, the band has racked up a few Official Selection Laurels for Film Festivals worldwide and received a Winner's Trophy for Best Metal Track July 2020 at the Los Angeles TMA Awards winning for their Entry, Eternal Love from the newly remastered and released CD, A Test of Faith. 

 The STYGMATA releases, Bleed, another full length CD and All Forgotten, the most recent Single release are available in all digital stores along with their CD, A Test of Faith.
